After reading my DAJIEDA blog, i would like to tell her:" What's love? What's life?" to me..

According to dictionary.com, the defination of LOVE is-

1.a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.
2.a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
3.sexual passion or desire.
4.a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.
5.(used in direct address as a term of endearment, affection, or the like): Would you like to see a movie, love?
6.a love affair; an intensely amorous incident; amour.
7.sexual intercourse; copulation.
8.(initial capital letter) a personification of sexual affection, as Eros or Cupid.
9.affectionate concern for the well-being of others: the love of one's neighbor.

11.the object or thing so liked: The theater was her great love.
12.the benevolent affection of God for His creatures, or the reverent affection due from them to God.

14.a word formerly used in communications to represent the letter L.

The words in orange are what Love is to me. Love to me is also to love everyone for who they are and not for what they are. If we do not give or receive Love from each other, the world today will become a place full of cold and bitterness.

What's love..?

Let me tell you something that happened to me on board bus53 yesterday.

I board the bus which was heading to bishan. There was this J2 guy from other JC who was also pouring out his sorrows to his few friends. This guy's sister had been missing for a few days already. He was saying this statement out loud :]

"Since we do not like and care for each other, why should i even be concerned for each other?"

This statement brought me to where i was a year ago where I had neglected my brother and didnt really communicated with him. To me, siblings were the most unimportant people in a century, especially for me being the eldest child, i felt that my siblings were very annoying too. It was only after the Pattaya Mission Trip that i realised how important my siblings was.

Siblings are there for a lifetime,unlike friends. Even if they are not here to help you most of the time, they will never run away and leave you lying in the lurch to pick up your pieces. Even no matter how hard it is to have a good relationship with them, i believe that if we are willing to love our siblings, and give them our care and concern, they will be there to extend that same amount of love for you.

I thought and thought and the wonderful picture of me and my brother moses reconcilling with each other just came into my mind. I felt a sudden urge to tell him :" Siblings are for lifetime!! " when he kept posting this question to his friend : "WHY should i care for her?" After 3 times of contemplating if i should his friend shoulders, i gave in. Even though i was a passer-by, who should not stick my nose into other people's private conversation, i felt that somehow i was the one sent by the Lord to help him and to tell him why he should be concerned about his sister.

He: "Why?"
Me: "Siblings are for a lifetime."
He: "Sometimes its just really hard trying to help change her"
Me: "With patience, tolerance and love, i believe you will be able to one day. It might be long, but the efforts at the end will be all worth it..? I had problems with my brother too and the day when we finally understood each other, all the effort spent was just all worth it"
He: "but its just very difficult lol"
Me: "pray for her, and do your part as a brother to her..Arent you her brother?"
He: "Ya.I'm her brother.."
Me: "If you are her brother, shouldnt you be a brother to her?A brother to be there for her and to care for her. Maybe she really needs you to be with her, to be that brother for her?"
He: "I'll try and thanks.."

I just feel that the answer to these questions : "What's love? What's life?" is this. To live a life to love everyone is to fulfill the true meaning of both love and life. To love one another as God has love us, to love even our worst enemy. To give everyone unconditional love and love them for WHO there are and not for WHAT they are.

No matter how difficult the path of life sometimes may be, i believe that God will always be there to help us pull through all our problems. We just need to take that 1 step forward to God, to trust him and God will take the rest of the steps as he will never want to fail us but to prosper her.

So let us all have faith in the Lord God Almighty..
